Charity Classic Triples Tournament
Join our TENTH annual Charity Classic!
December 28, 2025
A 3v3 tournament dedicated to bringing education and awareness to mental health and suicide prevention in memory of Kiara Wright.
Kiara Wright was a special and valued player at AVA for 5 years. After graduation from AVA, Kiara earned a volleyball scholarship to USC and was there for two seasons. She transferred to Florida State for her last two years of collegiate athletics to be a dual-sport athlete in volleyball and track. Kiara was a gifted athlete and amazing person. She was a fierce competitor that deeply loved volleyball and always lifted others around her. Our worlds were shattered when Kiara died by suicide in 2017. She is missed beyond measure but we have vowed to keep her memory alive. Kiara absolutely loved the sport of volleyball and was always trying to get everyone to play! In her honor, Absolute Juniors created The Kiara Wright Memorial Fund. The mission of the KWMF is to provide financial assistance to local athletes that have the same love and desire to play club volleyball that Kiara did. The Charity Classic is dedicated to Kiara's memory as we strive to bring awareness and education to mental health and suicide prevention.

Kiara Wright was a valued player at AVA for 5 years. After AVA, Kiara received a volleyball scholarship to USC and was there for two seasons before transferring to Florida State to be a dual-sport athlete, competing in volleyball and track. She was an amazing athlete and an even more amazing person. We tragically lost her in 2017 and have created the Kiara Wright Memorial Fund in her honor. The KWMF will strive to provide local athletes the opportunity to play club volleyball that would otherwise not be able to.
AVA will continue to dedicate our annual Charity Classic to the KWMF.
Depression is real; you're not alone. It happens at every age.
Did you know that if you text 741741 when you are feeling depressed or suicidal, a crisis worker will text you back immediately and continue to text with you? Many people do not like talking on the phone and would be more comfortable texting. It's a free service to anyone -- teens, adults, etc.-- who live in the USA.
