Roxanne Morris

My name is Roxanne Morris and I am originally from Goliad, Texas and graduated from Goliad High in 2017. Participating in multiple sports like volleyball, basketball, track and softball, volleyball always was my passion. I was so lucky to help lead the Tigerrette Volleyball team to it's very first State Championship title in 2016, where i was named all area and regional most valuable player, holding multiple school records. I also was a part of the Tigerettes 1st state finals appearance in 30 years in 2015. Following my high school graduation I went on to play volleyball for Blinn Jr. College for 2 years, where i was named all conference honorable mention and all conference academic team (2017) and 1st team all conference and academic team (2018). After Blinn, I continued my career at Texas A&M University-Kingsville where i played 2 more years of both indoor and beach volleyball and became the captain of the team. I was also grateful to be awarded all conference honorable mention (2019) and helped achieve our Lone Star Conference South Division Championship and was also named to the LSC First Team All Conference team, while recording the 2nd highest in assists and digs and 3rd in kills. Finishing my career at Kingsville with placing 3rd at Nationals for beach. (2021) While finishing my beach career and academic career, I was a Student Assistant Coach for the Indoor team during their 2021 season. During my time attending Texas A&M Kingsville, I started my coaching journey coaching club in Corpus Christi with Storm Performance Volleyball Club.

Volleyball has brought me so many amazing, unforgettable memories and have taken me to great places. The people and athletes I have met along the way have helped shape me into the athlete I was and now coach that I am. I am so excited to apply but also learn from everyone here at Absolute Volleyball Academy.

Coaching Philosophy: I believe that you get out of this sport what you put in, just like everything else in life. I want to be there for the athlete and their families. If I can teach them or help them in, not only becoming a better player on the court but a better human off the court, I feel that we all have accomplished something great.
